Apple’s new 10-Inch LCD Display

Apple could be mass producing a device with a 10.1 inch multi-touch display utilizing the LTPS LCD Technology in February 09. This technology is similar to the one used on iPhone.

LTPS stands for Low Temperature PolySilicon LCD is an active matrix LCD screen that is faster and more integrated than screens made from amorphous silicon substrates.

Although amorphous silicon is capable in bringing active matrix industry to a new height, polysilicon is an alternative approach for certain applications like the iPod.
